I met Kate through the valued friendship I have withTheresa Noland, and I met Kate under difficult circumstances. We were sitting in a waiting area while Don (Jr) had a procedure. Even then she was delightful—spiritual, positive, encouraging, and very kind. I was delighted to see her a few other times and each time she was almost effervescent in her zest for life! She was always very optimistic and had a wonderful sense of humor. And 72 years of marriage? WOW!! What an example for her family...& all of us. The world lost a treasure when Kate left and she will surely be missed. What an amazing woman and lady. ❤️
Katie was always so accepting of everyone in her family. As a daughter-in-law, I always felt like I was a daughter. My own children from a previous marriage were always her grandchildren with no distinction between blood relation or marriage relation. She loved to watch her grandchildren’s sports and activities and was alway an encourager.
I will never forget her “ability” to dock a boat at 30 mph an hour and blame Don for the crunching sound and people being flung to the ground, including her 18 month old grandchild!!
Noland women’s weekends were alway fun and a tons of laughs at the craft festivals.
She was a truly compassionate about life and loving people and she will be missed.
I knew Kate for many years during my marriage to Denise. My memory of Kate is that of a very kind, loving, caring, giving, strong person. I also remember her great golf game and infectious laugh. She left a truly great legacy.
