Karen and I spent 13 years together in alphabetical order at St. Mary's....Patterson, Postai....and continued to find each other over the years....she was a strong woman who overcome many challenges throughout her life. A little known story her kids may enjoy was her selection in 5th grade as the girl most likely to be a nun...I believe she got to go to Wichita for a weekend to the Mother House as a "reward"...I recall all the girls were envious including me until we all discovered in 6th grade, there were boys....and not a single vocation among our entire class. She did go on to be quite the care giver....for her family and, of course, she kept a close watch on Gene who relied on her for many years...if you needed something, she was the one you called and I could always count on a direct answer and tremendous attention to detail. No woman worked harder in this life....peace be with her....Krista Postai
