John Emerson Wilson's Obituary
John Emerson Wilson 74, of Arma, KS passed away 4:55pm Friday October 7, 2016 at the Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO following an illness.
John was born June 25, 1942 in Eugene, Oregon the son of Wesley Jeromes Sr. and Willa Mae (Sage) Wilson. John lived in the Arma, KS community most of his life. John worked as a Professional Painter most of his life and was known as a student that never quit learning.
John was a member of the Harvest Time Holiness Church; loved to play music, reading, painting and loved to pray and serve his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Survivors include his children David Wilson, Cynthia Wilson and Arvela Wilson; siblings Pete Wilson and wife Jeanette of Shawnee Mission, KS, James Wilson and wife Mary of Vilonia, AR, Toby Wilson and wife Linda of Glendale, AZ, Mary Doan and husband Albert of Franklin, KS, Tommy Wilson and wife Patty of Arma, KS, Sheila Murphy of Arma, KS, Sue Marshall of Arma, KS, Annie Jones and husband James of Franklin, KS, Willetta Wilson of Parsons, KS and Mary Alice Jameson of Columbus, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Wesley Wilson Jr. and Victor Gene Wilson; sisters Dorothy Mae Carson and Stella Rice.
Celebration of Life will be 7:00pm Friday October 14, 2016 at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, KS with Pastor Glen Polnack officiating. Burial will be private at a later date at Frontenac City Cemetery in Frontenac, KS. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the Harvest Time Holiness Church.
