Pamela Miears-Ennis
I knew John and Barbara through their daughter Debbie when they lived in El Rio, Ca in the 1970's. I can not express enough my thanks for the welcome and love that I experienced in their home. During the summer months John would drop Debbie, myself and our other friends off to walk to the beach and then pick us up at the end of the day nearly every day. The number of slumber parties they hosted with patience and love were countless. I practically lived at their home, a safe place for all. I only hope that I repaid their kindness by having a home that was equally as welcoming when my own children were teens.
