My husband and I just learned of Jim's passing. We both want to express our condolences to Nat and Kelly and their families. We will always remember him as a fun fellow classmate, who shared our graduate school office, was a serious biologist, cave explorer, diver, and hunting buddy. He certainly enriched both our lives, and leaves us with many wonderful memories. Rosielea and Steve Gash
I owe much of my career to Dr. T. He was a great mentor of mine while at PSU. From spring break sampling trips to digging through buckets of preserved fish in the Heckert-Wells basement, he guided all of his students in the fun and not-so-fun parts of grad school. He was a gentleman and a scholar, but never willing to take credit for his student's work. I will forever be grateful for his mentorship. You will be missed, Dr. T.
Dr Triplett was one of a kind, and our world is so much better because of his dedication. He was a leader and teacher extraordinaire. He will be missed!
Jim and I were PSU students at the same time. He and my parents lived next door to each other for years. When my father became a stroke victim Jim was of great help and support. He was a gentleman. He will be missed.
