Jerry Earl Lloyd's Obituary
Jerry Earl Lloyd, 83 of Pittsburg, KS went to be the Lord on Monday February 26, 2024.
He was born October 8, 1940 in Cheyenne, WY the son of David C. and Joyce Janette (Jankovsky) Lloyd. He attended school in Cheyenne and graduated from Central high school, class of 1958.
During his senior year he met his high school sweetheart, Judie Griffitt, who became the love of his life. They married in July of 1959. They were together for 64 years.
Together they raised their 5 boys, Dana Randall, Scot Timothy, Kevin Mark, Christopher Todd and Kyle William. From this union were born, 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Jerry served as an electrician apprentice and received his journeyman license in 1964. He received ministerial training at Grace Bible College in Omaha, NE and Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, IN.
These vocations led to various electrical jobs and church positions in many states. The Lloyds resided in Pittsburg, KS since 1994.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Charles Lloyd, daughter in-law, Deanna, two grandchildren, Trishanne, Nicole and great-grandchild Corey.
He is survived by his loving wife, friend and companion, Judie, five sons and their wives, Dana (Vicky), Scot (Vikki), Kevin (Cathy), Christopher (Amy) and Kyle (Stacy), daughters in-law, Karen Vawser Jemison, Jeanne Meluzio, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg, KS. The family will schedule a Celebration of Life at a later date. Condolences may be left at www.banthnaylor.com
