Jennifer "Jenny" Lou Trisler's Obituary
Jennifer “Jenny” Lou Trisler of Pittsburg, KS passed away peacefully on Friday June 12, 2026 at the Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg, KS. Jenny was born on September 25, 1971, in Columbus, KS. A bright bundle of joy born to Ira Raymond Trisler and Edna Geneva Trisler, she was the youngest baby angel of twelve. A beautiful soul filled with love, laughter, and mischievousness, Jenny uplifted the lives of all fortunate enough to know her.
She graduated from Pittsburg High School with the Class of 1993. From there, she went on to brighten Class Ltd., Bridges, and Mosaic in Pittsburg, KS. She was an avid athlete, championing the sports of softball throw, speed walking, and jumping, and amassed several ribbons during her Special Olympics appearances.
When not competing, she loved to take long car rides, listen to music, and get all dolled up to dance at her proms. She also loved going to church and singing hymns and gospel songs. But most of all, she loved her family, and she especially loved teasing and annoying them in any way she could.
Jennifer is survived by many brothers and sisters: Robert Lawrence Trisler of Tulsa, OK; Dennis Raymond Trisler of Nashville, TN; John David (Marie) Trisler of Pittsburg, KS; Nancy Jane (Mike) Cullins of Blanchard, OK; Delores Mae Lewis of Pittsburg, KS; Ernest Eugene (Sarah) Trisler of Springfield, MO; Joyce Ann (Allen) Dees of Milton, FL; and Tammy Jo Trisler of Pittsburg, KS; twenty-two nieces and nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ira Raymond Trisler and Edna Geneva Trisler; her sister and brother in law, Sharon Jean Stotts and Oscar Stotts; sister Debra Diane Nolan; niece Jeanna Sue Stotts; sister-in-law Jeanann Trisler; sister-in-law Brenda Trisler, and brother James Edward Trisler, whom she never got to meet.
Jennifer had a smile that filled a room and made life better. Her energy and orneryness will be greatly missed. Her family remembers her with the phrase “WE LOVE YOU, JENNY LOU!!”
A funeral service will be held for Jennifer at 10:00am, Wednesday June 17, 2026 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir, KS. Following the service, she will be laid to rest alongside her parents at the Crocker Cemetery near Pittsburg, KS. Visitation will be the night before the service on Tuesday June 16, 2026 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir, KS. Memorial donations may be made in Jennifer’s memory to the Special Olympics, and flowers are welcome.
