Jennifer Renee Dickinson's Obituary
On Saturday, August 7, 2021, Jennifer Renee Dickinson, loving wife, and daughter, passed away at the age of 38.
Jennifer was born on June 4, 1983, in Fort Scott, KS the daughter of Kenneth Lee and Linda Marlene (Nahon) Filby. Jennifer has been part of the Southeast Kansas community all of her life and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 2001.
On September 14, 2001, Jennifer married the love of her life Matthew Travis Dickinson in Pittsburg, KS. Jennifer initially worked in food & customer service for 8 years. She spent the last 14 years as a designer at Jayhawk Signs & Graphics in Pittsburg, KS.
Jennifer devoted a large portion of her free time to organizations like the Boy Scouts of America where she was able to provide a positive influence to numerous youth in our area. She was a supporter of the Pittsburg Avenue of Flags, and also served as a board member for Pawprints on the Heartland. Jennifer was an avid reader, enjoyed the outdoors and most of all loved her furry four-legged children. She was known for her sense of humor, her endearing laugh, and her kind and compassionate spirit.
Survivors include her husband; parents; grandmother Gloria Nahon of Frontenac, KS; sisters Melissa McGuire and husband Richard of Oswego, KS, and Brianna Filby of Pittsburg, KS; brother Kevin Filby of Pittsburg, KS; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marvin Nahon and LeNell and Betty Filby.
Memorial Services will be 12:00 pm Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS with The Rev. Jason Rice officiating. The family will receive friends before the service starting at 11:00 am. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg, KS.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to support improvements at the local camps of the Boy Scouts of America Ozark Trails Council in Jennifer's memory. Memorials can be dropped off or mailed to Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 North Broadway, Pittsburg, KS 66762.
