Jason Lyle Hurt's Obituary
Jason Lyle Hurt 52, of Ringo, KS died 2:51pm December 9, 2021 at his home following an accident.
Jason was born November 24, 1969 in Pittsburg, KS the son of Clinton Lyle and Nancy Angel Hurt. He was raised in Pittsburg, KS and was a graduate of Pittsburg High School in 1988. He was active in all sports and band and loved Purple Dragon Football and was known as Hurt Dog sporting the number 69 on his jersey.
Following high school he worked at the Residential Center for Youth and attended Pittsburg State University. He was co-owner of No Name Retail Liquor and worked in the building trades and custom cabinetry. He was last employed in graphic design before health issues forced his early retirement.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports, including rebuilding 60’s era Ford Mustangs. He enjoyed coaching his son’s baseball, basketball and football teams with joy and was an avid KC Chiefs fan.
He is survived by his parents; son Gregory Hurt of Frontenac, KS; sister Abby Hurt of Lenexa, KS and a companion Candi Bateman of Ringo, KS.
Cremation arrangements are by Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg, KS and services will take place at a later date. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com. Arrangements and services are under direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S. Broadway Pittsburg, KS 66762.
