Jane Elizabeth Hall Misasi's Obituary
Jane Elizabeth Hall Misasi was born in Mound City, Kansas, to Roderick and Agnes Hall, both deceased. She was the fifth of seven daughters (Gwen Colchin, Vera Babb, Regina Schulte, Helena Ross, Peggy McElgunn, and Rosemary White), three of whom survive her (Helena, Peggy, Rosemary). Jane graduated from Parsons High School in 1951 and entered nurses training in Pittsburg, Kansas. She met Pat Misasi, fell in love, and they married on November 29, 1952. They would have celebrated 70 years together this fall. Pat survives her, as does her four children: Therese Jones (Chris) of Denver, CO; Roger Misasi (Heidi) of Pittsburg; Mary Hixon (Mark) of Baxter Springs; and Julie Tholstrup (Terry) also of Pittsburg.
Jane was a homemaker and mom, a trained and licensed cosmetologist, and a small business owner. A talented and creative seamstress, she was a member of the Little Balkans Quilt Guild, and many of her colorful and unique quilts won awards.
Jane leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her beauty, wit, and spirit will be greatly missed by family and friends. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 13 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS with Pastor Dustin Morris officiating. Family will receive friends from 9-10:00am prior to the service at the funeral home.
