Jan M. Harvey's Obituary
Jan M. Harvey 67, of Fort Scott, KS died 11:32am Wednesday October 14, 2020 at her home following an illness.
Jan was born August 23, 1953 in Pittsburg, KS the daughter of Charles Hays and Minnie Rose (Dohle) Harvey. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Arma High School. Jan married Roland Eugene Frost; they later divorced. Jan worked as a Certified Nurses’ Aide and later a homemaker. She was of the Methodist Faith and loved fishing, hunting, horses and spending time with family.
Survivors include her children Marty E. Harvey of Ft. Scott, KS, Amanda A. Harvey of Frontenac, KS, Laura A. Tucker and husband Seth of Fort Scott, KS and Roland E. Frost Jr. of Girard, KS; siblings Charlene Harvey of Arma, KS, Sharene Harvey of Ft. Scott, KS and Jim Harvey of Arma, KS; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Carey Harvey and Eddie Harvey.
Funeral Services will be 2:00pm Monday October 19, 2020 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg, KS with Duane Elmore officiating. Visitation will be informal from 11:00am to 2:00pm prior to the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Fort Scott, KS.
