I have so many wonderful memories of Dad. I truly enjoyed our many fishing trips, catching more turtles than fish on most occasions. I acquired my love of the outdoors, math and jalapeños from him. He was loving, kind and gentle; a great dad, loving grandpa, Vietnam veteran, and all around hero.
I remember as a little girl, sitting on the front porch with Dad watching the thunderstorms roll through. Listening the rain as it fell. Counting the time between the the lighting bolts and the clap of the thunder. That special smell will always remind me of that time sitting on the porch.
