James “Jim” Edwin Thomas Jr. 93, of Pittsburg, KS died 6:25am Saturday July 27, 2019 at his home following a short illness. Jim was born May 17, 1926 in Saline County, MO the son of James Edwin and Olive (Boswell) Thomas. He has Read Obituary
Jim was a great friend to my dad Bob Johnson, although I think they had many disagreements about politics lol but spent plenty of time on the golf course as well as faculty members at Pittsburg State, and Jim was clock operator at the Pitt State basketball games where dad first met him.
The Thomas's were pretty special people and always enjoyed spending time at their house watching the New Years football games and getting to know Tom and Tim.
My heartfelt condolences to Shirley, Tom, Tim and their families. He will be missed by all.
Hopefully Dad and my Mother (Dee & Bob ) met him with a golf club in hand and are on their way to hit a few down the fairway.
