Jacqueline Ann Murray's Obituary
Jacqueline Ann Murray, 73, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, KS.
She was born August 20, 1947 in Lincoln, NE, the daughter of Aaron and Alice (Jacobia) Metzger.
She graduated Northeast High school in Lincoln, Nebraska. Following high school she attended the University of Nebraska, later transferring to Pittsburg State University, where she graduated with an English degree in secondary education.
Jacqueline was a former artist at Miller’s Professional Color Service for 17 years. She then worked as a case manager for child support enforcement through the State of Kansas and retired in 2013.
Jacqueline loved her cats and was an advocate for the S.E.K Humane Society. She was also a lifelong Husker fan and loved Nebraska football.
She is survived by her daughter Julie Workman of Girard, KS, sister Judy Jones (Dan) of Fairfield, CA, brother Mark Metzger of Neosho, MO and several nieces and nephews.
Jacqueline is preceded in death by her parents, infant sister Arlene Metzger and former husband Wayne Murray.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the S.E.K. Humane Society.

Cremation Arrangements are under the direction of the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, with a family Memorial service to be held.
