Jack Ronald Buzzard was my father. My parents divorced when I was eight but I do have memories of our life before then. Since he was not involved in most of my life I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to leave these memories that I do have of him at this final time.
I remember going to grandpa Jack and grandma Leah's house on Sunday afternoons, I remember going to the races where my uncle Frances raced his stock car and playing with my cousins Mark and Shelly. I wanted to be a racecar driver when I was little! I remember the big old farmhouse we lived in when my daddy taught school in Dennis, Kansas. How could I forget, I fell off of the top bunk in the middle of the night and ran across that scary old house to my parents bedroom to jump in bed with them. I recall going to the school at service Valley with my dad while he was working after hours and on weekends running all over the school playing and pretending. How precious is a child's imagination and memory.
I remember he played the piano and he was a good horsey. I wished we could've had more time together in this life but I know we will in heaven.
