Gloria Jeanny Meadows' Obituary
Gloria Jeanny Meadows (Blurton) was born January 10, 1958. The first born of the union of Edward Sonny Blurton and Onether Marie Dorsey (Grayson).
She departed to be with her King on July 7, 2026 after suffering a stroke on March 27, 2015.
She graduated from Pittsburg High School in May, 1976 and she attended PSU for 2 years.
She was preceded in death by her mother and 2 fathers (Sonny Blurton and Clarence Grayson), her grandparents and a brother-in-law.
She married Wraine L Meadows Sr. on August 27, 1979. From their union the love of her heart, Wraine L. Meadows Jr. was born.
They later divorced, but remain friends. I will always love you.
Later in life she was blessed by means of foster care with her second son, Jason Michael Miller.
She leaves to carry on her legacy and her memory two sons, Wraine Meadows and his wife Joan, Jason Miller and his wife Alisha, two brothers; Edward Blurton and Jerome Strickland, and his wife Chris. Five sisters; Selena Darlene Strawn (her late husband Stanley Strawn), Serena Beatrice Brown, Elizabeth Shelby(Damon Shelby), Sallye Collier, and Regina Richardson. Two very close cousins that were more like sisters; Marty Hogan, Coleta Pillar. Six grandchildren Keaton Avery Meadows, Jerrick Wraine Meadows, Jace Edward Miller, Jordan Michael Miller, Malakai Laroy Meadows, Kaitlin Lynn Miller. Eight nieces and two nephews, Samantha and Sydney Strawn, Samantha and Brttany Hare, Damonika Shelby, Essence West, Lynsey Hubbard, Malina Richardson, Sean Edward Hubbard, and Alonzo Toney.
Memorial Services will be 1:00pm Saturday July 25, 2026 at the PittNaz Church in Pittsburg, KS. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church for services. Condolences may be left at https://www.bathnaylor.com. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg, KS.
