Geraldine Brown's Obituary
Geraldine Brown 87, of Hallowell, KS died 11:10am Tuesday November 1, 2016 at the Labette Medical Center in Parsons, KS following an illness.
Geraldine was born November 28, 1928 in Hallowell, KS the daughter of Emmitt Aidron and Clara M. (Fast) Zimmerman. Geraldine was a graduate of Hallowell High School and lived in the community most all her life.
On May 27, 1960 Geraldine married Hallie C. Brown in Columbus, KS; he preceded her in death on January 16, 1990. Geraldine was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Oswego, KS; she enjoyed fishing and camping in her free time.
Survivors include her son John Erwin and wife Ann of Hallowell, KS; grandchildren Michelle Erwin of Hallowell, KS and Jeremy Erwin of Hallowell, KS; sister-in-law Judy Zimmerman of Las Vegas, NV and numerous nieces and nephews.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings Ida Stevens, Maxine Stephens and Jim Zimmerman.
Graveside Funeral Services will be 1:00pm Friday November 4, 2016 at the McKee Cemetery in Rural Cherokee County with Pastor Roger Daniels officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service. Visitation will be informal from 9:00am until 12:00pm prior to the service at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Columbus, KS.
