He was loved dearly by Coy, Wilma, Carolyn and Shelia Smith! He took care of our family‘s taxes for years, and then helped me when I started taking care of Mother and getting her moved with me for the last 10 years of her life. He came to a birthday party for Mother and Aunt Janice.
He was proud that he had done my cousin‘s taxes for 50 years, Paul and Carol Bowles. He always put a smile on our faces.! Mother used to take his dad milkshakes when he was in the nursing home at Grove. And mom‘s best friend, Annie Walker, was one of Gayle’s, mom‘s best friends. I know Patricia and the dogs will miss him.😍

One of my favorite times was getting to drive Gayle in his Cadillac to Joplin for barbershop rehearsals. He would always take me to Red Hot and Blue and buy me dinner every week. That was Gayle, he always liked to see people happy. My heart sunk when I heard of his passing, but I will always remember the love and generosity Gayle had on myself and others. I am grateful that I got to know him growing up. I miss him and wish his family and friends the best.

I am so sorry to hear the news about Gayle. He took great care of my taxes ever since 1987. He was a soft-spoken man, with a funny little chuckle, and a big heart. I always enjoyed going to visit him in his office so full of CLOWNS, 100s of CLOWNS in every shape and size -- they were everywhere. I never did see him as HUGGY, just his picture, but I am sure he was a good clown that made the children laugh. He loved the male Barber Shop Quartets, I can just hear him singing now. RIP my friend. No one can take your place.
