Eva L. Bower's Obituary
Eva L. Bower, 86 of Columbus, KS died July 7, 2023 at Webb City Health and Rehab in Webb City, MO.
She was born February 4, 1937 in Rural Cherokee, KS the daughter of Robert and Carrie L. (Allen) Walker.
On January 30, 1958 she married Richard L. Bower in Chetopa, KS, he preceded her in death on December 27, 1996.
Eva worked as an accountant for Ace Electric for many years. She was a state champion bowler in the Columbus Bowling league, a dedicated Mary Kay consultant for a decade, and had a deep love for gospel music.
Eva is survived by her 3 daughters; Teresa Bower of Pittsburg, KS, Deanna Myers and husband Don of Wichita, KS, Brenda Wilson and husband Don of Miami, OK, brother; Robert Walker of Tulsa, OK, 5 sisters; Beaulah Wheeler of Columbus, KS, Nora Coon and husband Jim of South Carolina, Lynnetta Ward and husband Fred of Mt. View, AR, Ida Walker of Tulsa, OK, Melody Eisenbart of Cherryvale, KS, 6 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son; Roger Bower and 2 brothers; Don and Lonnie Walker.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Friday, July 14, 2023 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Columbus with Pastor Daryl Gaddy officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Columbus.
A visitation will be held at 1 pm prior to the funeral at the Bath-Naylor Funeral home in Columbus, KS.
