Father Eugene W. Grabner's Obituary
Father Eugene Grabner, priest of Jesus Christ, died August 25, 2017 in Joplin, Missouri. He was born June 25, 1933 in Neodesha Kansas, the youngest child of Bernard and Regina (Eigenbrodt) Grabner. He served as priest in the Catholic Diocese of Wichita for 59 years. Preceding him in death from this life are his parents and his brother Bernard. He is survived by his brother Father Donald O.S.B., his sister-in-law Frances Massie, and a nephew Jim Grabner. The Vigil will be prayed at Saint Ignatius Church in Neodesha at 7:00pm Monday August 28, 2017. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by the Most Reverend Karl A. Kemme, Bishop of Wichita, at 11:00am Tuesday August 29, 2017, also at Saint Ignatius Church in Neodesha. Memorials may be made to the Father Eugene W. Grabner Seminary Burse, Catholic Diocese of Wichita 424 North Broadway Wichita Kansas 67202, for the formation of future priests. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg, Kansas.
