Elizabeth "Betty" Bojeck's Obituary
Elizabeth “Betty” Bojeck, 92, of Pittsburg, KS died at 6:20am Thursday, December 17th, 2020 at Oakview Estates Assisted Living in Frontenac, KS.
Elizabeth was born October 23rd, 1923 at 724 E 11th St in Pittsburg, KS to Coral Edith and William Alfred Wilson. Betty was raised in Pittsburg and attended school in Pittsburg.
In January 1948 she married Elmer Wisecarver and moved to Kansas City. They were divorced. In May 1958 she married Robert Bojeck and lived in Kansas City until his death in 1988, when she returned to Pittsburg.
Betty attended Kansas City Business College for one year to refresh her shorthand. She worked as a secretary for (25) years, then became a book keeper the last fifteen (15) years in Kansas City. In Pittsburg she worked for Bottenfield Beauty Supply until she retired. She worked as a volunteer at the hospital for several years after retiring.
She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac, KS.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, four brothers; Lee, Paul, Joe, and Kenneth and five sisters, Freda Stipp, Florence Willey, Pauline Morris, Lucille Buffington Burns, and Doris Lake, and a loving companion Joseph O’Blak.
Graveside services will be 2pm Monday, December 21, 2020 at the Highland Park Cemetery. Friends and family are requested to meet at the cemetery for the service. Informal viewing will be Monday from 9am until 1pm at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at www.bathnalyor.com. Memorials may be made to the Oak View Estates or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
