Dennis R. Terrell's Obituary
Dennis R. Terrell, 59 of Scammon, KS died at 8:29am, Friday July 8, 2016 at his home following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born July 23, 1956 in Beaver Dam, KY the son of Joann Terrell. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1974 and was honorably discharged in 1978.
Dennis was a truck driver for over 35 years and achieved his lifelong goal of becoming an owner/operator.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the American Legion and VFW.
Survivors include his life partner Judy Prewett of the home; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; additional family members are Tim Black and his daughter Taylor, of Pittsburg, Belinda and BJ Tipton & children of Pittsburg, Aaron and Whitney Begay of Joplin, MO, Dakota, Jessica & Hunter Begay of Pittsburg and Michelle Mortenson of Cherokee.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
