Dellorce J. McDowell's Obituary
Dellorce J. McDowell 67, of Arma, KS died 10:00am Wednesday October 19, 2016 at her home following a long illness.
Dellorce was born October 18, 1949 in Virginia the daughter of McKinnley and Thema Lucy (Price) Meadows. Dellorce has lived in this community since 1982 moving from Ohio.
On August 11, 1967 Dellorce married Thomas E. McDowell in Bowersville, OH; he survives at the home. Dellorce was a homemaker most all her life; a member of the Open Door Mission Church in Arcadia, KS; she will be most remembered by her love of her family and especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Survivors include her children Cheryl McDowell of Scammon, KS, Brian McDowell of Arma, KS, Gregory McDowell and wife Konnie of Pittsburg, KS; four brothers; four sisters; grandchildren Brettany Tompkins, Joey McDowell, Jake McDowell, Gunner McDowell, Brent McDowell, Bo McDowell, Michael Beasley, Beka Romero, Ray-Lynn Beasley, Cali Easter and Trinity McDowell; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Dellorce was preceded in death by her parents, son John McDowell and sister Opal Hammond.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am Monday October 24, 2016 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS with Pastor Don Raymond officiating. Burial will follow at the Rosebank Cemetery in Mulberry, KS. Family will receive friends from 7-8:00pm Sunday October 23, 2016 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS; friends may call after 12:00pm Sunday. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to Thomas McDowell to help with final expenses.
