Charles Richard Clark's Obituary
Charles Richard Clark, 76, of Columbus, KS, passed away at his residence on March 13, 2025. He was born on April 14, 1948, in Prescott, KS, to Lawrence Raymond and Genevieve Eileen (Hinderliter) Clark.
Charles was a dedicated and hardworking man who devoted over 40 years of his life to the railroad, working as a track welder for BNSF. A proud veteran, he served in the United States Navy. He was of the Baptist Faith and also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
In 2009, Charles married LaDonna George, she resides at the home in Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, his children: Joe Clark (Lauren) of Madrid, IA, Jennifer Sweet (David) of Madrid, IA, Malinda Heflin (Jason) of Columbus, KS and Amanda McAfee of Pittsburg, KS, his sisters Georgia Brown of Fort Scott, KS; Karen Springer of Prescott, KS; Vicki Deere of Emporia, KS; and Joyce Gouley of Farlington, KS .He was a cherished grandfather to 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his brother William Thomas Clark, and two brothers-in-law.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Columbus, Kansas.
