Catherine Ann Butler-Brown's Obituary
Catherine Ann Butler-Brown 61, of Cherokee, KS died 7:30am Wednesday May 11, 2022 at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, KS following an illness.
Cathy was born July 21, 1960 in Pittsburg, KS the daughter of Tom R. and Rosette F. Newport. She was a graduate of Pittsburg High School and spent much of her adult life in Wichita, KS.
In 1997 Cathy married Roger D. Brown in Las Vegas, NV; he survives at the home. Cathy worked as a custodian for Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS for many years. Cathy was a member of the Open Door Fellowship Church in Pittsburg, KS. She loved gardening, her dogs, cleaning house and most of all being a grandma.
Survivors include her husband; son Tim Fortine of Cherokee, KS; brothers Tom Butler and wife Cindy and David Butler and wife Frances; grandchildren Summer, Mollie May, Timmothy and Elizabeth Fortine.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Services will be 10:00am Saturday May 21, 2022 at the Open Door Fellowship in Pittsburg, KS with Pastor Don Talent officiating. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com. Arrangements are by Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg, KS.
