Carol Ann Goddard's Obituary
Carol Ann Goddard 73, of Frontenac, KS died 3:40pm Wednesday May 16, 2018 at the Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO following an illness.
Carol was born April 22, 1945 in Pittsburg, KS the daughter of Allen and Annabell (Green) Cox. She has lived in this area most of her life and was a graduate of Pittsburg High School. She later earned a degree in Social Work at Pittsburg State University. Carol served her country in the United States Navy. Carol married Harold F. Goddard; they later divorced. He preceded her in death in 2012. Carol worked at the Crisis Resource Center in Pittsburg, KS assisting those who are victims of domestic violence; worked for Mt. Carmel Hospital in Pittsburg, KS and in addition as a nurse’s aide for Oak View Home Health. Carol was of the Catholic Faith; loved to spend time with her family and most of all her grandkids.
Survivors include her son Gary Goddard and wife Sarah of Frontenac, KS; daughter-in-law Elizabeth Goddard of Frontenac, KS; siblings Richard Cox and Patty of Bend, OR, Linda Agee of Frontenac, KS and Dorothea Hurlbut of Frontenac, KS; grandchildren Trevor and Emily Goddard.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, sons Raymond and Richard Goddard and maternal grandparents Richard and Maggie Green.
Funeral Services will be 2:00pm Friday May 25, 2018 at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, KS with Fr. Robert McElwee officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Pittsburg, KS. Family will receive friends from 6-7:00pm Thursday May 24, 2018 at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, KS; friends may call after 12:00pm Thursday.
