Carlton Wade Kennard's Obituary
Carlton Wade Kennard 62, of Pittsburg, KS died 8:04am Saturday October 2, 2021 at his home following an illness.
Carlton was born July 25, 1959 in Newton, KS the son of Kenneth K. and Joyce T. (Ortmann) Kennard. Carlton was a graduate of Sedgwick Kansas High School in 1977. He later graduated from Friends University of Central Kansas and later earned his Law Degree at Washburn University in Topeka, KS.
Carlton married Kim D. Bennett on May 31, 1980 at the St. Jude Catholic Church in Wichita, KS; she survives at the home.
Carlton practiced law for many years; worked as a Radio Sports Broadcaster for 103.5 and in addition in Insurance Claims for Olympian Insurance in Paola, KS.
Carlton was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac, KS; he loved fishing, hunting, sporting events, softball in his early years and most of all his family.
Survivors include his wife; children Kari Cronister and husband Keith of Pittsburg, KS, Kami Patrick of Nixa, MO, Kamern Kennard of Pittsburg, KS and Kelli Cameron and husband James of Pittsburg, KS; grandchildren Joseph Cronister, Kaleb Cronister, Lexi Cronister, Miles Cronister, Nick Cronister, Taylor Cronister, Tanner Cronister, Christian Patrick, Willow Patrick, Everett Patrick and Sloane Cameron.
Carlton was preceded in death by her parents and sister Kimberly Kennard.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Wednesday October 13, 2021 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Robert McElwee as celebrant. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Pittsburg, KS. Family will recite the rosary at 7:00pm Tuesday October 12, 2021 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS; family will receive friends following the rosary. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to Bath-Naylor Funeral Home to help with final expenses. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S. Broadway Pittsburg, KS 66762. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com.
