Blanche Ann Sherman's Obituary
Blanche Ann Sherman, 92, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away peacefully at her residence on May 12, 2025.
She was born on May 21, 1932, in Pittsburg, KS, to Floyd and Ruth (Carroll) Willey. Blanche was raised in Pittsburg and was a devoted homemaker who found great joy in caring for her family and home.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Orval, Carl, and James Willey; a daughter, Ruth Reid; and two grandchildren, Michael Ridgeway and Amber Ann Sherman.
Survivors include her children, Betty Stevens (Danny) of Pittsburg, KS, Howard Sherman of Pittsburg, KS, Ray Lawson (Dianna) of Pittsburg, KS, and David Sherman (Fran) of Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Arrangements are under the direction of Friskel Funeral Home. A private family service will be held. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army and mailed to Friskel Funeral Home, 230 E. McKay St., Frontenac, KS 66763.
