Beverly J. Alex's Obituary
Beverly J. Alex, 86, of Arma, KS, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Arma
Health and Rehab.
Beverly was born on March 19, 1936, to John and Clara (Scott) Collins in Pittsburg, KS. She graduated
from College Heights High School in Pittsburg, KS in 1954. Beverly was then united in marriage to her
late husband, John Alex, on July 1, 1955.
Beverly was a member of the Beulah Community Church in Beulah, KS. She will be remembered as a
loving grandmother, and a wonderful cook. She especially enjoyed making home cooked meals for her
family. Beverly was also a talented singer, and her family will always fondly remember her keen eye for
fashion, especially her love of the color pink.
Beverly is survived by her four children: Deborah “Debbie” (Alex) Kee; Phil and his wife Lisa (Marklan)
Alex; Mary (Alex) Mansell; and John “Bud” Alex; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 4
great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents: John and Clara (Scott) Collins; her husband, John Alex; and
one great grandchild.
Beverly will be cremated by the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home and Crematory in Pittsburg, KS with no
attendant services. Her family plans to hold a private celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made to the Beulah Community Church.
