Benne was a great guy and a good friend. Will be missed by all
Benne touched many lives including mine. He served 25 years of service for Crawford County. All who choose to wear a badge knows their life changed. Your friends change, you belong to a different family, those you would lay down your life for and they for you. When you retire, if you have family left, (wife and kids), you are lucky. But when you leave the family you served with, it leaves a void in your everyday life. We should celebrate his service and all that serve, but too often the community forgets the sacrifices that were made to keep us safe. Benne was a professional he served with pride and never refused to do his job. Rest in peace finally my friend and my brother.

We have lost one of the nicest guys I have ever known. Benne would do anything for you and would give you the shirt off his back. He will be missed by so many. My heart goes out to his family. Definitely one of the good guys gone too soon. Joyce and John Kovacic
