Beatrice A Marshall Rippel's Obituary
Beatrice A. Marshall Rippel 100, of Weir, KS died 7:12am Monday March 4, 2024 at the Medicalodge Nursing Home in Columbus, KS following an illness.
Beatrice was born June 10, 1923 in Roseland, KS he daughter of Elmer F. and May (Welcher) Bowin. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of West Mineral High School. On December 25, 1943 Beatrice married Warren L. Marshall in Roseland, KS; he preceded her in death on March 5, 1984. Beatrice later married Kenneth Rippel in Asbury, MO; he later preceded her in death. Beatrice worked as a housewife most of her life but taught school briefly before starting her family. Beatrice was a member of the Methodist Church in Weir, KS; she was a member of the Homemaker’s Club Sheridan Township; cooking, knitting, crocheting and caring for her family made up her life. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her sons Larry Marshall and wife Carla of McCune, KS and Roger Marshall and wife Carol of Weir, KS; 6 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, son Gary Marshall, grandson Andrew Marshall, 6 brothers Everett Bowin, Efner Bowin, Tom Bowin, Renford Bowin, Chuck Bowin and Albert Bowin and a sister Margaret Huff.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am Saturday March 9, 2024 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir, KS with Rev. Lindsey Clarke officiating. Burial will follow at the Hosey Hill Cemetery in Weir, KS. Family will receive friends from 6-7:00pm Friday March 8, 2024 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir, KS; friends may call after 3:00pm Friday. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the Weir Methodist Church. Friends may drop off of mail memorials to the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 104 W.
