Barbara J. Wilson's Obituary
Barbara was born on Sunday, September 12th, 1948 to Cleo W. (Toby) and Dorothy Sue Suevon O’Banion in Buckner, MO. Barbara Jean Fort Osage School district. For most of her adult life, she lived around the Weir, KS area.
On February 8th, 1986, Barbara entered into a life of marriage with Lee Hobart Wilson, who spent 38 years together, upon which their family offered a considerable congratulations to them both. Barbara is a mother to eight children and two stepchildren; William (Billy) Bowling (Janice) of Lincoln, MO, Calvin Bowling (Bobbi) of Wellington, MO, Shirley Chase of Mulberry, KS, Sarah Wiggans of Wellington, MO, Samantha Bowling of Pittsburg, KS, Dororthy Chase of Mulberry, KS, Glen Green II (Brandy) of Weir, KS, Don Bowling (Tracey) of Girard, KS, Veronica Ferrell (Nick) of Grain Valley, MO, and Lee Harrison of Oak Grove, MO, .
Barbara had 34 grandkids, 6 step-grandkids, and 31 great grandkids, as well as many nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.
After living a long fast-paced journey of life, listening to Elvis Presley, being a mom, sewing, putting puzzles together, partying, drinking beer, and enjoying her family, Barbara lost the battle of gastric stomach cancer on February 21, 2024, surrounded by all her children and husband, and of course Elvis Presley.
Barbara was preceded in death by both her parents, Toby and Dorothy; five siblings, Claudette, Stella, Robert, Jim, and George; her son, Billy Bowling; 2 grandsons, Gordon Chase and Trevor Bowling; and her great grandson Ronan Chase.
The family is holding a private family viewing at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir, KS on Sunday, February 25, 2024. The family intends to hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
