Barbara June Mangile's Obituary
Barbara June Mangile, 87, of Frontenac, Kansas, passed away on October 21, 2024, at Oakview Estates. She was born on October 12, 1937, in Cherokee, KS, to Thomas O. and Leila B. (Story) Mason. Barbara spent most of her life in Capaldo, KS, and graduated from Cherokee High School.
In June of 1955, she married, Ronald L. Mangile.
Barbara worked as a pharmacy technician for Walmart and the local hospital for many years. She had a deep love for children, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed taking motorcycle rides with her husband. Barbara also had a special fondness for Yorkies, hummingbirds, and flower gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald, of the home; two daughters, Donna Meuli and husband Tom Beisel of Wichita, KS, and Debbie Brumbelow and husband Gary of Wichita, KS; two brothers, Thomas Mason and wife Eleanor of Cosby, TN, and Fred Mason and wife Cheryl of Guthrie, OK; her sister, Catherine Gregg of Pittsburg, KS; three grandchildren, Jeremy Lucas of Wichita, KS, Lindsey Ward of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Janessa Yardley of Wichita, KS; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ralph Mason.
The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. at the Frontenac City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Contributions may be mailed or delivered to Friskel Funeral Home, 230 East McKay, Frontenac, KS 66763.
