Annabel R. Russell's Obituary
Annabel R. Russell, 88 of Cherokee, KS passed away April 19, 2026 at her home.
She was born September 17, 1937, in Weir, KS, the daughter of Neil and Corral (Turrell) Markham.
On February 14, 1957 she was united in marriage to Rollin Russell, he preceded her in death on March 11, 2010.
Annabel was a cook at Southeast High School for many years, she was also member of the Cherokee United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters Bessie Freeman of Cherokee and Alma Russell of Scammon, KS; along grandchildren: Nina Russell, Neil Freeman, Patrick Carroll, Jr., Kyle Carroll; great-grandchildren: Casie Brown, Connor Freeman, Blakely Carroll.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Nina Russell and four brothers.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2026 at the Council Corners Cemetery with Pastor Lindsey Clarke officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the services. Family will receive friends Thursday evening at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Condolences may be left at https://www.bathnaylor.com.
