I am heartbroken to hear of Mimis passing. She was such a special woman and I always admired her. There are so many things I remember over the past 40 years that make me smile when I think of her. I met her when I worked with her husband “Dude” who had become a good friend. As it was with anyone who ever met this amazing lady, It didn’t take long for her to become a good friend too. She had a way of making you feel like you had known each other forever. I remember how she loved animals and I loved hearing stories about her parrot. She was the one who started the practice of putting birthday ads in the newspaper. I remember the stories about her car & how they built their homes together. Mimi worked hard all her life. She put everything she had into everything she did. She was kind & would do anything for anyone. She said what she thought and was always honest. She was a strong woman and could hold her own. I’ll never forget when she bought the liquor store. She took that project on & made it fly. She as a great businesswoman and she was so proud of it. She & Dude were great together. I remember how crazy he was about her. She was an awesome wife & mother. It was such an inspiration watching Mimi & Dude raise their wonderful family together and I’ve been so blessed to get to know & love their children. She talked about them all the time and she was proud of each and every one of them. Her family was her greatest joy. I’ll miss her terribly but I’m comforted by the thought that she’s with Dude again after being without him for so long. My deepest sympathies to her family. It was an honor and blessing to have had her in my life.
