Alice was a stern woman with a big heart. She always felt an obligation and had a willingness to help. She believed in the mission. She believed in rules, and thought some things were a little too much. In her later years she took some time to win over, but if you showed her that you meant well and weren’t trying to stir too many feathers of those who came before you, she would eventually come around. She would then become your friend. She would check on you and ask about your family, helping encourage in anyway she could. She appreciated those who appreciated her time because she knew time was valuable. She had a big heart for those who needed help. She also tried to keep herself in good health. She gave good advice, and knew what mattered most the majority of the time. I have a voicemail that she left me a couple years ago that I have held onto. It speaks to who she is and how much she cared. She made an impression on my life. I will miss her. i’m deeply sorry for your loss.

When I think of Alice, I think of a person with energy. She would be seen walking, walking, walking. I enjoyed talking to her when she came into the Library. She will be missed.
