A.J. and Susie so kindly invited me to stay overnight every Thursday so that I did not have a long drive home after teaching clinical and back early the next morning. A.J. often cooked hamburgers for dinner when I arrived. A.J. and Susie are two of the finest people I’ve ever know and I love them dearly! My deepest condolences… yet joyous Thanksgiving that A. J. is safely in the care of our Savior!
AJ was my favorite QB for the Gorillas! 3rd down and 3 yards for the TD and he always gave me the ball and said, "take it in!" I'll never forget you! Same birthdays 12/24 but one year older than me 1942! Love you man!

AJ told me as he did others to call him AJ as we were friends before he went on the bench. He also chuckled that we might not be so friendly if he ruled against my client. In my later youth I really enjoyed my visits to Pittsburg to see Aunt Susie, Uncle AJ , Sean and Pat. AJ to me was always a super cool guy but also had a very distinguished aura about him. Not to mention a very handsome guy! Enjoyed talking sports with him. And his words of wisdom to me on various topics. Always good humor thrown in with it of course. My heartfelt prayers go out to my Aunt Susie, Sean and Patrick my cousins. They are the same age as me. A great family! This has to be a very tough time. - Cousin Mike Witt.
