Michael L. Walden

August 23, 1947 - December 23, 2021

Michael L. Walden (Waldo) of Mulberry, Kansas passed away on December 23, 2021, surrounded by family and loved ones. Michael (Waldo) was born to Kenneth Walden and Maude Hazzard in Illinois on August 23 1947. He was raised by Matt and Pauline Morgan in Mulberry, Kansas. He graduated high school in 1965 from Mulberry, Kansas. After graduating High school, he enlisted into the United States Army. After a short time in the military, he worked various jobs, began his sobriety, and enrolled into college at Pittsburg State University. After completing his Bachelor’s Degree, he began working at Crawford County Mental Health. He worked the pilot program for Juvenile Day Reporting and later worked with Adults with Addictions. He is survived by his wife Donna of the home; his son Michael, his wife Crystal and grandchildren Danielle, Paige, Mackenzie, Riley, and great-grandchild Averie of Girard; daughters Carol and Debbie of Arma; daughter Kayla, fiancé George and grandson Zeb of Mulberry; daughter Kristi and grandson Dyllan of Arma; his brother Pat and wife Becky of Mulberry; his sister Donna Yergensen of Utah; sister Karen Chisam of Missouri; and his brother Kenny of Sedan. In his spare time he would mow lawns for his neighbors, and volunteer his time taking disabled veterans to VA appointments. He also served his community by serving on the city of Mulberry city council. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and going to bike rallies. He enjoyed limbline and trout fishing A Celebration of Life will be held January 2, 2022 at 3:00 pm at the Senior Citizens Building in Mulberry, Kansas. All flowers can be sent to 116 S. Mulberry St. Mulberry, Kansas. All donations can be made to the City of Mulberry in care of the Mulberry Museum.
