Lindsey Scott Hogue

March 13, 1951 - April 7, 2021

Lindsey Scott Hogue, 70, passed away Wednesday, the 7th of April 2021 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born the 13th of March, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Herbert Hogue and Maxine Wilson. Scott, as he was known by friends and family, was raised in DeSoto, KS. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1969 and fought overseas during the Viet Nam War. Upon returning, he received his Bachelor’s Degree from Pittsburg State University in 1975, was married in 1976, and began a 30+ year career as a social worker. He later obtained a Master’s Degree for social work from the University of Kansas. He retired in 2015. He is preceded in death by both parents. He is survived by his 3 brothers, Marshall, Stan, and Gary; his Ex-Wife Elaine and their 3 children; daughters Becky Duncan and Margie Hogue, son, Nicholas Hogue, son-in-law, Kirk Duncan, and 4 grandchildren, Quentin, Carter, Ava, and Kassidy. The rosary, followed by a visitation, will be Thursday, April 15th starting at 6pm at Bath Naylor Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 16th, at 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
