Emelido Boboy Digno, Jr. Born on August 29,1991 in the Marshall Islands to the late Emelido Digno Sr. & mother Helma (Kaiko) Digno. Emelido attended and completed his schooling on the islands. Graduating class of 2009 from Marshall Islands high school, and college of Marshall Islands alumni. Amongst his peers he was known and loved for his easy going nature, infectious smile & endless jokes. Emelido's talents were many. A former 2010 Olympian for the Marshall Islands track & field team; shot put. A loved member of his community and church, Emelido was a member of the Assembly of God church in Pittsburg, Kansas. Matthew 19:21, Jesus tells a young man "if you wish to be perfect, go sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven." Emelido believed & lived by these very words. He was an active member & made countless donations to local food banks and shelters. A vessel of God, president, mentor and brother to many in the Marshallese community. For the past eight years Emelido was an operations manager for Sugar Creek packing company in Frontenac, Kansas. He was known for his dedication, hard work, infections laughter, and willingness to learn and help those around him both on and off the clock. Horseback riding, barbecuing, fishing, boating, and playing basketball were a few of many hobbies Emelido enjoyed. For those that knew him well, will always remember him playing his ukulele and singing a countless amount of songs. His most known & apparent talent was his devotion to his family. An amazing father and husband, Emelido forever lives through his family; and his girls. Emelido Boboy Digno, Jr. is survived by the love of his life; fiancé/wife Catherine LeiMomi Tomeing and their two beautiful daughters Leiana Emila Tomeing-Digno (daddy's princess) and Leiari Emani Lucy Tomeing-Digno (daddy's twin). Siblings, Arelong Jr. S. George, Helson Kaiko, Kai Jibas, Abraham Jibas, and Moses Jibas. Funeral services will be 12pm -5pm Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg and Sunday Sept 5 from 10am-5pm at Carbon Creek Events Venue 981 S. 190th St. in rural Pittsburg. Masks will be required as well as social distancing.
