Charles "Truman" Stocker

Charles “Truman” Stocker, 92 of Rural Girard, KS died at 1:27 pm, Tuesday December 6, 2016 at the Prairie Mission Retirement Village in St. Paul, KS. He was born June 21, 1924 in Cherokee, Ks the son of Howard and Musie (Vestal) Stocker. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. On May 18, 1968 he was united in marriage to Juanita Fowler in Bentonville, AR; she survives of the home. Truman worked as a welder for Allis Chalmers in Kansas City for many years; he also worked for the Parsons Ammunition Plant. He raised cattle and horses and farmed for many years. Survivors include his wife and a brother Tommy Stocker of Carbondale, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister JoAnne Bentley. Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday December 9, 2016 at the Friskel Funeral Home with Owen Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherokee City Cemetery.
