Obituaries
Margaret L. Weir, 62 of Pittsburg died at 7:30 p.m. Monday
December 5, 2011 at the Freeman West Hospital in Joplin , MO.
She was born March 28, 1949 in Kansas City , MO the daughter
of Joseph and Dorothy (Williams) Frey. Margaret lived most of her life
in the Southeast Kansas area.
Margaret married Charles Weir, they were later divorced, she
then married James O’Banion and they were later divorced.
She worked as a housekeeper for Shields Adult Care Home
retiring in 1995 due to health reasons.
Survivors include two daughters Cathy Harrison and husband
Jerry of Pittsburg, Kim Chase and husband Jerry of Pittsburg; three
sons Anthony Weir and wife Eva of Pittsburg, Albert Weir and wife
Angela of Mulberry, Terry Weir of Liberal, MO; three brothers Albert
Frey and wife Sue of Kansas City, KS, Jack Frey and wife Joyce of
Holden, MO, Alpha Cox and wife Violet of Odessa, MO; 3 sisters Janice
Hackley and husband Scott of Odessa, MO, Ellen Freeman and
husband Danny of Odessa, MO, Patricia Ridenour of Pittsburg; 13
Grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by her parents and a sister Betty Wuellner.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday December 9, 2011 at the
Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Reverend Dennis Johnson
officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery . The family
will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Friday. Friends
may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Friday. Condolences can be
