PITTSBURG — Allen Kent Swartz, 52 of Pittsburg, died at 1:49 p.m.,
Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center
following a long illness.
He was born November 26, 1957 in Pittsburg, the son of Kenneth and
Patricia (Irvin) Swartz.
On September 22, 1978 he was united in marriage to Kristy Schneider in
Asbury, MO, she survives him of the home.
Allen was a lifetime area resident and a member of St. Barbara’s Catholic
Church formerly in Chicopee.
He was an avid sports fan and loved his home teams, The Gorillas,
Royals and Chiefs.
He worked for Pitt Plastics for several years.
Additional survivors include two daughters: Melissa Holland of Pittsburg,
Sarah Swartz and fiancée Sonny Waldfogel both of DeFuniak Springs,
FL; Mother: Patricia Swartz of Frontenac; two sisters Diana Allen of
Centerton, AR, Joyce Bartley and her husband Jack of Bentonville, AR;
grandmother Lela Holden of Pittsburg; four grandchildren: Mary Elle
Thompson, Deven Holland, Makenzi Waldfogel and Summer Waldfogel;
three nephews, five nieces and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial services will be 11 am, Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Bath-
Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Rev. Kevin Arensman officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before service
time starting at 10 am, Saturday. Condolences may be left at www.
