Obituaries
Everett L. St. Clair, 92 of Scammon, KS died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday April
29, 2010 at the Quaker Hill Manor Nursing Home in Lowell, KS.
He was born April 21, 1918 in Mulberry, KS the son of Roy and Florence
(Scott) St. Clair.
Everett was a lifetime resident of the Cherokee/Scammon areas.
He married Hazel Hindman on October 4, 1939 in Lamar, MO; she
preceded him in death on July 30, 2002.
Everett was a lineman working for Empire District Electric Company for 35
years retiring in the early 1980’s.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Faith; a past member of the
Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
Survivors include a son Robert “Bob” St. Clair and wife Shirley of Baxter
Springs; 3 Grandchildren-Robin Graham and husband Rod of Miami, OK,
Kelly St. Clair-Barnes and husband Paul of Farmington, MO, Stacy Skye
and husband Joseph of Baxter Springs; 7 Great-grandchildren Zachary
and Nicholas Graham, Jonah and Delaney Barnes, Morgan, Brendan and
Emerson Skye. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a son
Everett G. “Jerry” St. Clair.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday May 1, 2010 at the Hosey
Hill Cemetery in Weir with Pastor Wes Davis officiating. The family will
receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the Bath-
Naylor Funeral Home in Weir, the procession to the cemetery will leave at

flowers the family suggests contributions be in the form of memorials to
the Scammon, KS Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be brought by or
