Elizabeth “Beth” Sherwood, 85 of Weir, KS died at 7:40 p.m.
Sunday October 30, 2011 at the Quaker Hill Skilled Nursing Facility in
Lowell , KS.
She was born November 2, 1925 in Syracuse , KS . She had been
a resident of Weir since 1970.
Beth married Edgar Ivan Sherwood Sr. in Dearfield , KS ; he
preceded her in death on August 17, 1988.
She was a homemaker; and a member of the Weir United Methodist
Church .
Survivors include two sons William Sherwood and wife Diana of
Weir, Edgar Sherwood Jr. of Hutchison; a daughter Janice Cole of Weir;
2 grandchildren Jonathan Sherwood and wife Tiffany of Baxter Springs,
Jessica Sherwood of Weir; 3 Great-grandchildren William J. Sherwood,
Elijah Elliott and Eva Elliott all of Baxter Springs. She was preceded in
death by her parents, her husband and a son Everett Sherwood.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday November 2, 2011
at the Hosey Hill Cemetery in Weir with Pastor Bob Banks officiating. The
family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the
Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir. The casket will remain closed.
