Susan I. Schimmel, 62 of Pittsburg died at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday
December 7, 2011 at her home following a lengthy illness.
She was born August 11, 1949 in Camp Lejeune, NC the daughter
of Lester L. and Irene P. (Cook) Schimmel.
Susan worked as an X-Ray Technician, worked for Pittsburg State
University Janitorial Services and was a home care provider.
Survivors include a sister Leslie Lamb and husband Dan of
Pittsburg, a brother Dr. John Schimmel and wife Anita of Colorado
Springs, CO; nephews Ian Schimmel and wife Katie, Sean Schimmel,
Brian Lamb and a great-niece Kamryn Schimmel. She was preceded in
death by her parents.
According to her wishes Susan has been taken for cremation.
Memorial Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday December 20,
2011 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Condolences can be sent
