CHEROKEE — Rollin G. Russell, 79 of Cherokee died, Thursday, March
11, 2010 at his home following a long illness.
He was born July 1, 1930 in Cherokee the son of Oliver and Della Russell.
On Feb. 14, 1957 he was married to Annabel Markham in Cherokee, she
survives him of the home.
Rollin was a truck driver for Radell, Heckart, Cherokee Grain and several
other local companies.
He was a past member of the Cherokee Volunteer Fire Dept.
Additional Survivors include two daughters: Bessie Freeman of
Cherokee, Alma Eckles of Joplin, MO, 4 grandchildren and 1 great
grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Nina Russell.
Graveside services will be Monday, 10 am, March 15, 2010 at the
Council Corners Cemetery with Pastor Bob Banks officiating. Burial will
follow. Friends and family are requested to meet at the Cemetery for the
services. Family will receive friends at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in
Weir from 6-7 p.m. on Sunday evening. Condolences may be left at www.
