Obituaries

PITTSBURG — Dr. Perry Webb Page, DVM, 78 of rural Pittsburg died at
12:30 pm Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the St. John’s Regional Medical
Center following a long illness.
He was born August 10, 1931 in Pittsburg the son of Wilse Riley and
Leona Fern (Geier) Page. He attended area schools and graduated
from the Girard High School in 1949, he then went on to Pittsburg State
University where he received a Bachelors of Science Degree. From there
he went on to The College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State
University and graduated in 1957.
Perry worked at the Langdon Lane Animal Hospital from 1957 to 1968.
He was employed by the State of Missouri as a Veterinary Medical Officer
for 12 years. He then worked for the USDA as Veterinary Medical Officer
and retired after 25 years of Service.
On June 30, 1998 he was united in marriage to Sue Cambers in Las
Vegas, NV; she survives of the home.
He was a member of the Meadowside Baptist Church, the Elks Lodge
#412 in Pittsburg, Pitt-State Alumni and K-State Alumni Associations.
Additional survivors include three sons: Dennis Page of Butler, MO, Kyle
Page of Liberal MO, Shawn Page of Girard, KS; a daughter Dawn Page
of Racine, WI, mother Leona Page of Pittsburg, sister Kay Malcolm of
Pittsburg two Step-sons Terry Patrick of Columbia, MO and Doug
Cambers of Deep Water, MO; four step-daughters Connie Lester of
Warrensburg, MO, Debbie Cambers and Cathy Wheeler both of Pittsburg
and Lisa Cambers of Farmington, MO, along with several grandchildren
and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and Joy Page wife of 27 years.
Memorial services will be 10 am, Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the
Meadowside Baptist Church with Rev. Don Alexander officiating. Burial of
cremains will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery. Family will receive
friends at the Funeral home from 7-8 pm on Wednesday. Condolences
