Obituaries
  Mildred M. Orender, 87, formerly of Pittsburg, KS, died Tuesday, May
18, 2010 at the Riviera Palms Rehabilitation Center in Palmetto, Florida,
of a long illness.
  She was born October 6, 1922 in Scammon, KS the daughter of
Wesley Elmer and Henrietta Littrill Smith.  She had been a resident of
Pittsburg for most of her life moving from Weir, KS in 1939.
  She married Bethel G. Orender on December 23, 1939 in Pittsburg,
KS.  He preceded her in death on June 30, 2000.
  Mrs. Orender had been a homemaker.
  She was a member of the Church of God, 13th and Tucker in Pittsburg,
KS.
  Survivors include one daughter Phyllis June Pryor of Ellenton, Florida;
four sons Merle Allan Orender of Liberty, Missouri; Stephen Curtis
Orender of Wray, Colorado; Darrell Vernon Orender of Webb City,
Missouri; and Kenneth Brent Orender of Pittsburg, KS; 11 grandchildren;
17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; twin sons Phillip
David Orender and Paul Douglas Orender.
  Funeral services will be 3 pm Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Church of
God, 13th and Tucker in Pittsburg, with Rev. Mark Smithson and Rev.
Richard Smithson, officiating.  Burial will be in the Crocker Cemetery,
Pittsburg, KS.  The family will receive their friends from 7 to 8 pm
Thursday at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway in
Pittsburg, KS.  Pallbearers will be Merle Allan Orender; Stephen Curtis
Orender; Darrell Vernon Orender; Kenneth Brent Orender; Nicholas
Kline; and Dan Pryor.  A memorial has been established to the Church of
God Orphanage Fund.  Memorials may be left at the Bath-Naylor Funeral
Home or the church.
