Daniel Neil Nelson, 56 of Pittsburg, KS passed away Sunday,
September 25, 2011 at Medicalodge South of Pittsburg.
He was born September 12, 1955 the son of Neil and Angeline
(Crespino) Nelson in Pittsburg, KS. Daniel graduated from Pittsburgh
High School and later graduated from Pitt. State University getting his
Masters in Science.
He worked for Envisions in Pittsburg for 14 ½ years. He also
worked for Pitt Plastic for three and a half years. Daniel was a member
of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg.
Survivors include his Mother, Angie and Stepfather Bob Vernetti; 1
sister, Julie Bartley and brother in-law Bruce Bartley. 2 nephews, Todd
and Corey Bartley and 2 uncles, Frank and wife JoAnn and Bill and wife
Pat Crespino. He was preceded in death by his father, Neil; and
grandparents Earl and Reva Nelson and Joe and Nellie Crespino; and a
cousin, Craig Crespino.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 30, 2011 at
Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Father Mike Baldwin
officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be from
9:00 am until service time Friday. Condolences can be sent to
